My son is 7 months old, and Yosemite Park is already one of our favorite spots in Laguna Niguel. It's a great neighborhood park and we want to spend a lot of time there as he grows up!

The main issue is the lack of shade over the swings. Standing in direct sun with a baby or young child is genuinely uncomfortable, it limits how long families can realistically stay and enjoy the park, and prolonged UV exposure is a real concern for little ones.

I reached out to the City, and they've been responsive, they've mentioned plans to plant additional trees at the park, which as a tree lover I'm genuinely hopeful about. But there's no timeline confirmed, and in the meantime, a shade structure over the swings would make an immediate difference for families using the park right now.

I'm asking the Laguna Niguel City Council to add a shade structure to the swing area at Yosemite Park. It's a simple improvement that would make the park so much more enjoyable for our whole neighborhood and for many years to come.
