I am a resident of North Miami Beach, FL, and a parent to young children. Recently, I've noticed people parking and lingering in our local parks late into the night. This has raised safety concerns for me and other families in our neighborhood.

Our parks should be safe spaces for everyone to enjoy, especially our children. However, the lack of adequate lighting after sundown creates an environment that can potentially harbor unsafe activities.

By installing lights in our parks here in North Miami Beach, we can help ensure these spaces remain safe for all residents at all hours of the day.
