During periods of extreme heat, dogs are increasingly at risk of dehydration and heatstroke whilst walking through parks, town centres, and public spaces across Cheshire East.

Following a heartbreaking heat-related incident involving dogs within our local community, The Hydration Project was created to help raise awareness and improve access to public hydration points for dogs and owners.

Many public areas currently have limited or no access to water, particularly during hotter weather. We believe simple, accessible hydration stations could help create safer spaces for dogs, support responsible owners, and potentially prevent unnecessary suffering in the future.

This campaign is about prevention, awareness, and positive community action.
