As a student at Wilkinson Middle School, I have experienced the discomfort of eating cold lunches on numerous occasions. This is not just an issue of taste or preference, but potentially one of health. Studies indicate that consistently consuming cold food can have negative impacts on digestion and overall wellbeing (Healthline).

Our school, located in Frisco, TX, USA, currently lacks the facility for students to heat their meals. This is a basic amenity that many other schools provide for their students and it's time we caught up. The lack of microwaves in our cafeteria restricts our meal options and forces us to consume food at sub-optimal temperatures.

By installing microwaves in the cafeteria, Wilkinson Middle School would be promoting healthier eating habits among its students and showing a commitment to our welfare. It's time we made this change for the betterment of our school community.
