Here are a couple of recent updates from the Metro planning department and councilman Reed's office.
Stacy,
Thank you for your response and speaking with Mr. Tarsa last week. Would this study need to be conducted with school in session? Is there a cost to the study that would need to be funded by the council office? Would you be able to provide us with details on why the crosswalk was denied after the first evaluation?

Mr. Tarsa,
We spoke, I believe last week, regarding the path forward. I explained that the area was originally evaluated for the crosswalk installation and was denied, however I was willing to take another look. That will require a field review during a time when crossing traffic from pedestrians is most likely. My memory of our conversation indicated that most individuals are crossing during the morning hours of 7:00 – 9:00 and then again in the evening, likely after 6:00pm. I certainly want to choose a day with nice weather, hopefully improving the likelihood of seeing multiple individuals crossing in the same area.
Thank you for your continued patience.
Stacy
