The Issue

I have witnessed the heartbreaking consequences of animal abuse firsthand, and the reports from Bay County Animal Control have only deepened my concern. Animals, who have no voice of their own, are being mistreated in what should be a safe haven. These defenseless creatures rely on us to protect them, and it's our duty to ensure their safety and well-being.

Recent incidents have brought to light the need for increased oversight and accountability within Bay County Animal Control. Installing cameras within the facility is a vital and urgent step to ensure transparency and prevent any form of abuse. Surveillance cameras can act as a powerful deterrent against misconduct, protect the animals from harm, and hold anyone accountable who might mistreat them. Additionally, it will provide us the ability to monitor the treatment of these animals around the clock, ensuring they are always in a caring and loving environment.

Statistics show that surveillance systems reduce misconduct in facilities by up to 20%, and can greatly aid in cases of disputed care allegations. Furthermore, this could enhance the overall functioning of the facility, reassuring the community that animal welfare is being taken seriously. By taking this step, Bay County Animal Control can serve as a model for other facilities nationwide, promoting a standard of care that all animals deserve.

It's time to take action and stand up for the voiceless, ensuring that every animal is treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. Sign the petition now to demand the installation of cameras in Bay County Animal Control. Let's work together to put an end to animal abuse and protect these vulnerable beings. One single camera in  the euthanasia room is unexceptional!!cameras throughout the shelter will ensure that employees  will be aware of them and less likely to harm these already abused, neglected, homeless animals.please sign and share let's be heard,we WILL NOT tolerate the horrible treatment of these helpless animals
