For almost 20 years the residents of Birchwood have sought the installation of a zebra crossing on Woodfield Avenue outside St. Hugh's Primary School. This is a busy road with seven schools nearby, potentially leading to over one thousand children crossing daily, not to mention local residents of different age groups and their dogs. The demand for a safe crossing has unfortunately been ignored by Lincolnshire County Council, increasing risks for the young and old alike. Ensuring pedestrian safety should be a priority for our community. By installing a zebra crossing, we can vastly reduce the danger of road accidents and ensure a safe journey for our children to school. We urge the Lincolnshire County Council to reconsider this long-standing demand. Your signature can make a difference in safeguarding our community and children. Please sign this petition and request a zebra crossing at this link https://www.gov.uk/request-pedestrian-crossing
