Petition for a Zebra Crossing on the Hill in Harefield

We are calling for a zebra crossing to be installed on the hill in Harefield, along Churchill, to make crossing the road safer and easier for everyone in our community.

There is currently a crossing in this area with a speed camera but drivers do not always stop to allow pedestrians to cross. This is particularly concerning as there is a care home nearby, and many elderly residents and other pedestrians may need extra time and reassurance when crossing the road.

There are several crossings further down the hill and elsewhere in the village, but there is currently no zebra crossing on the hill itself. Installing one here would provide a clearly visible and accessible crossing point for pedestrians and help drivers recognise that they need to stop and give way.

We believe a zebra crossing in this location would benefit the whole community, including older residents, families, children, carers and anyone who needs to cross Churchill Road safely.

We respectfully ask the relevant local authority to consider installing a zebra crossing on the hill in Harefield, along Churchill Road.
