My name is Sheron lawson, and as a mother of a 2-year-old daughter with diabetes, I am deeply concerned about her safety and the safety of other children living on our street, particularly those with disabilities like autism. 

Our street has become increasingly dangerous due to speeding vehicles, and I believe it is vital to take immediate action to protect our children and provide them with a safe environment in which they can thrive. Just down the road lives another child, struggling with autism, who also deserves a safe place to play and grow.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), speed bumps are an effective measure to reduce speeding on residential streets, significantly decreasing the chances of accidents and fatalities. Installing a speed bump on our street would ensure that vehicles slow down, thereby dramatically increasing the safety for the children and families residing here.

We urge beckley wv to consider the installation of a speed bump on E street . This small but crucial change can prevent potential accidents and provide peace of mind to parents like myself.
