Install a Raised Zebra Crossing on Ash Green Lane

The Issue

We want to increase the safety of students walking to and from school and reduce the number of students involved in road accidents. Ash Green Lane is a busy road with heavy traffic, making it dangerous for pedestrians, especially children. Ash Green School is one of the only schools in Warwickshire, without a safe crossing for students, or a 20 mph speed restriction on the local roads. There have been multiple incidents involving pedestrians on this road in the past year alone. Installing a raised zebra crossing will not only slow down vehicles but also provide a safer crossing point for our children and other residents. Please sign this petition to urge the council to take immediate action and make Ash Green Lane safer for everyone.

ASH GREEN ROAD SAFETY ORGANISATION

A Campaign for the installation of a raised pedestrian crossing on Ash Green Lane

We at the organisation would like to thank everyone for the great interaction with our poll, and for all the evidence and other support provided to us.

After meeting local residents and discussing our campaign with you we have decided to campaign specifically for Warwickshire County Council to install a raised pedestrian crossing on Ash Green Lane, as well as holding assemblies to educate students within the school.

In order to persuade Warwickshire County Council to install a raised zebra crossing we must have a petition backing of roughly 1,000 signatures.
