I live in Rosewood Manor apartments, where my apartment directly faces the street where numerous accidents occur. We have observed several incidents in our immediate vicinity, with the most recent being a police chase that resulted in two cars being damaged and the fence of our apartment complex destroyed. What is more worrying is that these accidents have encroached upon our personal living space, putting the safety of our children, who play in our yard, at risk.

Our community has been constantly living in fear and anticipation of the next accident. Our office, which has been replaced several times due to these ongoing accidents, currently has a less expensive replacement which was also destroyed within the last month. Despite multiple pleas, no substantial protective measures have been implemented yet.

We stress the urgent need for a protective rail to be installed. Given that over 37,000 people die in road crashes each year in the US and an additional 2.35 million are injured or disabled as per the Association for Safe International Road Travel (ASIRT), the importance of having a protective rail becomes clearer, especially in accident-prone areas such as ours.

We request that the necessary authorities take immediate action. Not just for us, but also for all future residents of Rosewood Manor, and for the serenity and safety of our neighborhood. Please, sign this petition to push for the installation of a protective rail.
