Hi everyone

After we successfully brought Councillor Sylvie Ellsmore on board to advocate for this pedestrian crossing, Council discussed the issue at a meeting on 17 March 2025.

Cllr Ellsmore brought a motion to refer the pedestrian crossing to the next Local Pedestrian Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee meeting for urgent advice.

However, the Mayor's team ultimately only agreed to "investigate bringing forward planning" of the pedestrian crossing.

This is a disappointing result that does not reflect the urgency of the situation.

I'd ask supporters of the petition to keep up the pressure on Sydney Council by calling Clement Lim on 0292659333 and requesting updates on this issue.
