The issue

To Lord Mayor Clover Moore AO and Councillors of Sydney Council

Providing a safe environment for children near school premises is paramount.

We are concerned about safety of pedestrians, particularly children, crossing Liverpool Street near the intersection of Boundary Street. This is a busy street, with heavy car and truck traffic. Many parents and their children cross this street in order to get to and from Darlinghurst Public School. It is only a matter of time before an accident occurs.

We seek the installation of a pedestrian crossing of Liverpool Street (between Barcom Avenue and Boundary Street, or between Barcom Avenue and Womerah Avenue).

We urge the Council to act swiftly on this matter.
