As a resident of North Vancouver, I witness the danger of the Norcross Way and Ridgewood Drive intersection on a daily basis. This crosswalk is unsafe for pedestrians, putting numerous individuals including children at risk every single day. Multiple residents have previously voiced their fears to the municipality about this exact issue. The solution I propose is the installation of a flashing pedestrian beacon at this intersection. This straightforward, cost-effective solution would greatly enhance visibility and safety for pedestrians. If we don't act now, we risk the safety and possibly even lives of our fellow neighbour's.
