Social media: please ban live feeding videos on social media! While I was looking through my feed on Instagram, I found one particular account owning many pet reptiles. I like snakes and lizards, so I decided to have a look through the profile. I soon found multiple videos of pet mammals (rabbits, rats, mice, etc) being fed alive to snakes, lizards, and even ferrets. This made me very upset and angry, as I know in Australia that it is illegal to feed live vertebrates to reptiles, so I posted a polite comment on the videos asking if they would stop showing it. The account replied angrily that I was stupid and a dumb***, then posted a comment on a photo of my rats stating 'Snake food'. I found multiple accounts like this, and was disappointed to go back and find that the videos were still up. The account told me that they were buying cheaper PETS from pet shops and breeders to feed to the snakes. 

Please do not let social media users promote the abuse of animals!
