Stop discrimination reverse the ban on #Latex

The Issue

I feel the time has come to make a petition about Instagram's now "positive discrimination" against people who are actively wearing or promoting latex wear. Individuals are being targeted for wearing a material that is now widely accepted and worn by fashion designers and celebrities, despite having negative publicity in the past.

Your terms and conditions state 'fostering a positive, inclusive and safe environment.' Individuals are unfairly treated and discriminated against on the basis of the material we choose. We live in fear every day that we are we going to get another post delete or our account removed. Instagram is ruining the livelihoods of many, not just latex-wearing models, but the companies that produce latex garments. We rely on your platform and others for our jobs as a community we're sick and tired. Why is it that we could post a picture head to toe covered in a non traditional shiny fabric not commonly seen on the high street and it's taken down for nudity and sexual activity despite no skin showing? An individual who doesn't wear latex or a celebrity who does can post what they like the platform - this is a bias against people who wear latex. What's wrong with standing out?

It’s 2020, no discrimination of any kind should take place. I want to call on Instagram to reverse the #latex ban and stop the war on our community and our artistic expression.
