Instagram/Facebook needs to unban those they've wrongfully banned.
The Issue
#Facebookdisabledme
A few weeks ago I was wrongfully banned from both Facebook and Instagram. I know beyond a doubt that I did not break the terms of service and an email from Facebook eventually confirmed this. but getting in touch with someone was not easy by any means, and it was not cheap. They reversed the ban on my Facebook but not my Instagram. I know there are other people who are less fortunate than me.
This is copied from the email from Facebook:
"Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to request a review. We reviewed your account and saw that activity on it does follow our Community Standards, so you can use Facebook again."
if I did not break the standards, then, what exactly happened? Why was I blocked on two accounts (only one of which was reversed as of November 22nd).
We know we aren't owed an account. But this is a pandemic..for some of us it's the only way we can safely communicate. For some of us it is the only way we make money. Some people, like myself, use this to read the words of deceased loved ones. And for the creative individuals like myself, we use this for school and networking... My grades depend on Instagram and if I don't get it back I very well am likely to fail school. I really cannot afford any setbacks. Literally.
I know many of us did not break the terms of service. This affects us in many ways.
Please reverse what you did on both Facebook and Instagram. You claim to support small businesses, but all you did was hurt them.
