Hello fellow parishioner/brother and sister in Christ. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Theresa Gwiazda, and I am a parishioner of St. Agnes. Myself, along with, Theresa Ortiz, would like to bring to St. Agnes Church, the Traditional Latin Mass.

We believe that the sense of community and shared devotion can be strengthened further through embracing traditions that have withstood the test of time. This is why a small group of parishioners of St. Agnes Catholic Church are advocating for the reinstatement of the Traditional Latin Mass in our parish. This initiative stems from our own desire to nurture a more profound spiritual community, one that connects with the sacred ethos of our heritage.

The Traditional Latin Mass, or the Tridentine Mass, offers a deeply enriching liturgy that many community members find spiritually fulfilling and uplifting. It has been a cherished aspect of Catholic heritage for centuries, providing a prayerful and solemn environment that helps foster a deeper connection to the faith.

Research suggests a growing interest in the Traditional Latin Mass across various parishes worldwide. For instance, a study published by the Centre for Applied Research in the Apostolate highlighted a notable increase in attendance where the Traditional Latin Mass is regularly celebrated. People are drawn to its reverent atmosphere and the sense of continuity it provides with traditions of the past.

Hosting the Traditional Latin Mass will not only give our community an opportunity to experience this historical form of worship but also invite Catholics from surrounding areas who seek the same spiritual enrichment. This will help build a stronger, more spiritually focused congregation.

I understand that implementing the Traditional Latin Mass will require collaboration with our parish leaders and the Diocese. Therefore, this petition primarily aims to gauge local interest and demonstrate to our parish decision-makers that there is indeed a heartfelt demand for its introduction.
