For two years now inmates have been suffering dealing with the conditions of Covid and being placed in lockdown losing rights to visit, programs, basic necessities, and basic medical treatment. These men have suffered enough. Most of you have heard about the so called survey that went out to inmates who have not been vaccinated yet showing different incentives that CDCR might give. Why not give all inmates even those already vaccinated these options as well. CDCR claims to be all about rehabilitation and not taking risks well they have risked the lives of inmates. Our men cannot leave these facilities the guards and other necessary workers can that’s how our men got it in the first place. The ratio of inmate to guard vaccination is a little over half dependent upon facility . Let’s give these men time off their sentences. I know this does not help everyone locked away in these facilities because some people might never come back out of there but for the families that do have a chance to see their inmates outside of these gates again they deserve time off and for those who can’t we need to be getting them other incentives to make their time a little easier.
