We, the undersigned residents of Clinton, Connecticut, feel strongly that the proposed industrial waste recycling facility on Route 145 in Clinton currently before the Inland Wetlands Commission will have an adverse impact on the wetlands on that site and the wetlands on adjoining sites and throughout the town. We believe that the adverse impacts will be related to the  characteristics and functions of resources, effects of coastal flooding, coastal water circulation patterns, drainage patterns, patterns of shoreline erosion and accretion, visual quality of the land, water quality of the land, and wildlife, finfish, and shellfish habitats in nearby areas. We are strongly opposed to the placement of this recycling facility at the proposed site, and we are convinced that the impacts on our Clinton wetlands will be adverse and eventually tragic.
