On September 20th a mass email was sent to all IEHP employees stating that without an approved Religious or Medical exemption all employees who fail to provide proof of the Covid Vaccine will be terminated 12/31/2021. According to the expansive rules mandate by the Biden Administration "All employers with more than 100 workers will need to require their employees to be vaccinated OR test for the virus weekly". IEHP is currently refusing to provide weekly testing instead of the covid vaccine. Many employees have expressed willingness to do the following to ensure the safety of others: Receive weekly covid tests, wear the N95 mask while indoors, Social Distance and even take an Antibodies blood test. IEHP is known as the health plan with a heart and now is the time for IEHP to show its employees how big that heart is and that they are capable of doing the right thing. The purpose of this petition is to implore IEHP to reconsider their current decision to not provide weekly covid testing in lieu of the covid vaccine. This mandate without alternative options is unjust and against our rights of personal autonomy, self-ownership, and the self-determination of human beings over their own bodies.
