Initiate the Construction of a Skate Park in San Jacinto

The Issue

From my platform as a candidate for San Jacinto city council, I witness the genuine passion and enthusiasm in the eyes of our youth every day. I see them skateboarding in the streets and around Mt. San Jacinto College, risking their safety due to a lack of a proper venue. It's time to pay attention to their voices. #GoSanjacinto #SkateboardingIsLife, #YouthDevelopment, #LocalBusinessSupport

Let's recognize their need for an engaging, positive space to practice their craft and build community. It's not just about introducing new recreational infrastructure; this is about investing in our youth, our future leaders. In cities where skate parks have been introduced, they have proven to be vibrant social hubs that foster a sense of belonging among the local youth. Moreover, these parks serve as a deterrent to them resorting to detrimental activities and lifestyles, contributing to a healthier community (SMITH, 2017).

Therefore, I urge the San Jacinto city council to assess and address this need that reverberates throughout our youth and concerned citizens. Skateboarding is not just a hobby; it's a lifestyle, a passion that keeps our youth engaged and focused. Let's give them the tools they need to grow and prosper.

We need your signature in support of this initiative - let's bring a skate park to San Jacinto and invest in our vibrant, young community. Sign this petition, and together, we can make this a reality. Let's shred the complacency and build the future, now!
