Initiate the Arizona State University Army ROTC Alumni Association

The Issue

As a proud alumnus of the Arizona State University Army ROTC class of 2015 and now serving as a professor of Military Sciences, I feel an inherent responsibility to ensure that our legacy is preserved and cultivated. The shared bond of service and commitment we experienced during our time in ROTC should go beyond our graduation; it should be a lifelong network that benefits all alumni and the program itself.

We observe as other colleges have successful and flourishing ROTC Alumni Associations that actively engage with their graduates, organize events, and even invite alumni as guest speakers for commissioning ceremonies. Why should our beloved ASU Army ROTC be any different?

Given that there are over 70,000 active-duty Army officers in the U.S., and considering that a sizeable portion may indeed be graduates of our program, the potential for a rich, thriving Alumni Association is clear.

Establishing the Arizona State University Army ROTC Alumni Association would provide us with an organized platform to stay connected to our alma mater and its ROTC program, attend events, and even get an opportunity to speak and inspire new batches of commissioning cadets.

With this petition, we can instigate the creation of this Alumni Association and create a structure that continuously influences the future generation of military leaders.
