I am deeply passionate about freedom and the U.S. Constitution. To me, both are tightly interwoven, and neither can exist without the other. For this reason, I am disturbed by the actions of Donald J. Trump, whose term as President may be seen as illegitimate in accordance with the Fourteenth Amendment.

The disqualification clause of the Fourteenth Amendment prevents public officials who engage in treason from holding a future public office. Dated back to the Reconstruction Era, this amendment was intended to prevent members of the Confederacy from regaining power post-Civil War. Reflecting on history would force us to question whether some of the actions of Donald Trump match the level of insubordination the Fourteenth Amendment aimed to guard against.

Taxation without representation was indeed written in blood, underlining the importance of transparency and representation in governance. Therefore, it becomes critical for us as a nation to take up actions against figures who boldly trample upon these sacred tenets. For this reason, I propose a citizen's arrest of Mr. Trump, engaging the power vested in us by the law.
