Like many others, I find myself struggling to read entire books due to various personal reasons. Appreciating the delights of literature can be daunting for individuals who grapple with similar issues. An alternative approach to encouraging and nurturing reading habits can be through the medium of graphic novels. The blend of visual imagery with storytelling creates an engaging and accessible format for many. My proposal is to create a graphic novel version of 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', a vital coming of age novel by Stephen Chbosky. 

This book resonates with several readers due to its candid portrayal of adolescence and the struggles that come along with it. Offering a graphic novel adaptation not only makes it more accessible to individuals who find it difficult to read traditional books, but it also opens up a new avenue for those who benefit from visual learning.

Statistics show that comic books and graphic novels are growing in popularity, with a 13% increase in adult readership in recent years (Source: Comic Book Legal Defense Fund). We believe the graphic rendition of 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' could contribute vitally to this trend while helping more people connect to its significant message.
