As a victim who experienced the unkindness and lack of respect that the Department of Child Safety (DCS) in Mesa, AZ can show to individuals they purport to protect, I am pushing for a change. I have been treated without integrity, stripped of my independence, with my constitutional rights violated - specifically my 4th and 14th amendments - all under the Alien Law. For 20 months, my children have suffered under this system, causing significant spiritual conflict.

As of August 2024, Arizona has 12,358 children in out-of-home placements. In the Phoenix area, children face the highest risk of foster care among large cities in the US. This situation is even grimmer for Black and Native children, who are subjected to increased jeopardy compared to their peers. An incident involving the DCS and a nine-year-old girl, which happened without parental knowledge, raises deep concerns about the agency's standard practices.

The DCS's negligence has been allowed to continue for too long and it needs to be addressed urgently. A comprehensive inspection of the organization is essential. It is high time those behavior patterns which harm children, parents, and families are fully identified and corrected.

The United States government, the Commission of Judicial Conduct, the state representatives, and state Senate - we call on you to compel an inquiry into the practices of DCS. It's crucial that we protect the rights and dignity of those who have been mistreated and misunderstood by the very system designed to protect them.
