Dear International Steering Committee, 

The Nairobi Summit on ICPD25.

As a key responsibility, you have prepared 17 points of voluntary commitments, under three `ZEROs'. But you have overlooked the issue of `Dignified Menstruation' or `Dignity during Menstruation' again. Menstruation is mandatory biological process where half of the earth bleed since creation of this universe. Without dialogue on `Dignified Menstruation' neither the family planning nor maternal deaths nor gender-based violence and harmful practices against women, girls and youth will be zero including commitments # 3,5,7. Because the menstruation constructs and shapes the power among girls and boys since the age of 5-9 years. It is a underlying cause of invisible conflict, violation of human right, dis-empowerment and key barrier of achieving SDGs:1,2,3,4,5,6,8. 

Therefore, globally, the progresses on CEDAW 1979, ICPD 1994, Beijing Platform for Action-1995, UNSCR 1325 are not as intended because of side-lined the menstruation specially dignity during menstruation. The more we try to catch the left ear by right hand instead of left, we will lose so much opportunity, cost and all.

Humbly and gently remind to each of you to include the commitment with explicitly about `Dignified Menstruation'. Please do not persuade that the comprehensive SRHR package or UHC or any commitments unveil the underpinning issues due to menstruation. Let's cut the ROOT instead of wasting energies and time by trimming the branches of tree.

Let's be honest with our future daughters, grand daughters and entire generation.
