Your decision to suspend radio presenter, #DaronMann, for speaking out against the horrors of dairy and meat farming, is a travesty of justice and a violation of the right to free speech and the free exchange of ideas. The dictatorship of archaic and obsolete ideas will destroy this radio station.

In particular, I refer you to Section 2, the Bill of Rights - which is cornerstone of democracy in South Africa. It enshrines the rights of all people in our country and affirms the democratic values of human dignity, equality and freedom.

Please note that Section 15 of the Bill of Rights states that:
"Everyone has the right to freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief and opinion."  This guaranteed human right is not qualified by the phrase: "unless someone with money is paying us with a contrary view".

I further refer you to Section 16 of the Bill of Rights which states:
"16. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression, which includes—
(a) freedom of the press and other media;
(b) freedom to receive or impart information or ideas; ...."
Again, you will notice that there is no qualification along the lines of the above or relating to who sponsors your station.

Please can you tell me where your censorship or action against someone speaking out about someone fits in with these Sections of our Supreme Constitution? Or our Constitutional values generally?

Furthermore, the dairy industry systematically tortures and kills millions of animals every day around the world. Baby cows are ripped from their mothers soon after their birth so that humans can consume a product which is essentially killing them. Those babies are then either turned into veal or dairy farms, so that we can continue the process. Dairy farms also contribute significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. I believe the Dairy Industry IS HORRIFIC.

What Daron did was not "satisfying a self interest" but it is what you are doing by suspending him. 

I #StandWithDaronMann and I am boycotting your station as well as any other media which stands against fundamental constitutionally enshrined values. I do not care who your sponsors are.

I DEMAND THAT DARON MANN BE REINSTATED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
