Induction of Homoeopathic Graduates in Public Health System in India
The Issue
Induction of Homoeopathic Graduates in Public Health System/Departments in India
In Public Health System the RMA - Rural Medical Assistants is not a solution, to make over the shortage of allopathic physicians. Adopting of RMA in public health system is a mean to fixing different standard of medical care provider for rural public; which in fact is not quite good; but may be a better bets, to keep away other system of medicines, what for the sake?
The Kerala state has 14 District Homoeo Hospitals in service apart from PHCs & CHCs. The State of UP is in initiates to go for inducting the AYUSH medical graduate (BHMS, BAMS, BUMS and BYMS) in existing Public health System. The Himachal state has the Ayurveda Health System of Medicine in operation, Punjab has chosen contractual system for PHC & CHCs on lump sum amount; like wise every state has their own way to make over the shortage of allopathic physicians. Similarly the National Rural Health System is stand in favor of RMA for PHC & CHCs at rural area. Thus there is a need of uniformities for medical care providers for rural public.
So as such the alternate should be equal and not less than graduate physician, hence the adequate alternate may be in the next worldwide followed Health System of Medicine i.e. Homoeopathy Health System of Medicine; as this has been adopted by the Kerala State, in India.
Friends, we all together in lacs through this petition; may be able to pressurise the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Government of India to go for nationwide Homoeopathy Health System of Medicine along with allopathic health system of medicine, and so for this to induct the Homoeopathy Graduate Physicians in Public Health System in India as an alternate of allopathic medical care provider.
Practitioners in Modern and Holistic Medicine
a) RMA – Rural Medical Assistant
The person with qualification plus-two with Biology along with Diploma of “Practitioners in Modern and Holistic Medicine”, delegate all power as doctor at respective Health Center and may be posted in district Hospitals.
b)BRMS - Bachelor of Rural Medicine and Surgery new name B Sc. in Community Health (Modern and Holistic Medicine) a 3 years coarse, is not a doctor but he/she delegate all power as doctor at respective Health Center and may be posted in district Hospitals.
Masters in Public Health (MPH) and MD (Social and Preventive Medicine) courses
There are number of Government Homeopathic Medical Colleges in India, despite of that the Homeopathic practitioners are not treated at par as Administrative functionary and even not admitted in the health courses like Masters in Public Health (MPH) and MD (Social and Preventive Medicine) thus Homeopathic practitioners are also not deployed on the Administrative Functionary of the Public Health System in India, while in adoption by public there is a massive jump in the demand for the 250-year-old system of medicine. There are drastic increases in registered homeopathic practitioners that are more than doubled in two decades from 105000 in 1980 to 246000 in 2010.
Hence I would like file this petition “Induction of Homoeopathic Graduates in Public Health System/Departments in India” as well to make them eligible for Masters in Public Health (MPH) of various institutes including institute like Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), and MD (Social and Preventive Medicine) courses prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI)
Homoeopathy Medicine System
Homoeopathy is a System of Drug - Therapeutics based on the Law of Similars. This law states that a drug, capable of producing in a healthy person a diseased-state exactly Similars to that observed in a diseased person, acts as a curative agent if the diseases are in a curable stage. In the incurable stage of the disease, however, the same drug acts as the best palliative. Homoeopathy has logically evolved as an experimental science according to the method of inductive reasoning in which exact observation; correct interpretation, rational explanation and scientific construction play a leading role. Homeopathy has a founder and traditional leader who is now acknowledged and revered also by the present generation of homeopaths.
Homoeopathic Health System in World
According to the WHO, homeopathy is the SECOND largest system of medicine in the world and is experiencing an annual growth of around 20 - 25%. It is estimated that by the year 2017, the world homeopathy market would be equivalent to the size of the entire current alternative health care market.

Homoeopathic Health System in India
India currently leads the world in terms of Government sanctioned Integrated healthcare, with Homeopathy being formally and legally acknowledged so that Homeopathic Physicians enjoy the same legal standing as western allopathic doctors. There are over 200 000 Homeopathic Physicians in India having graduated from a standardised 5 ½ year degree from over 180 Homeopathic Medical Colleges. Over 5000 Government run Homeopathy clinics currently operate in India, with the WHO stating that ‘Homeopathic treatments seem well suited for treatment in rural areas’.
