Our heroes and inspirations, Mother Love Bone, deserve to join the greats in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This band held a profound influence on the Seattle grunge scene despite a career that was tragically cut short by farewell of their charismatic lead singer, Andrew Wood. Their vibrant, soulful music lives on, albeit their brief output has limited their chances at induction. Their story and unique sound touched many and sat at the heart of the birth of a new music genre. Their influence, despite having a short-lived career, echoes even today in the grunge and alternative music scene. We believe recognition from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is long overdue. Their brief, meteoric rise and their influence on a generation of musicians hold far greater importance than length of career. We ask you consider their incredible impact and indelible mark they left in the brief span they were active - an accomplishment many bands with longer careers only dream of. Therefore, we urge the Hall of Fame voting member to recognize Mother Love Bone's significant contributions to the music world and rightfully induct them into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
