Induct CAMEO into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Induct CAMEO into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The Issue
CAMEO: Keeping it "FUNKY" for over 40 years.
Selling over 20 million records, CAMEO has maintained its core funkiness for nearly four decades. Founded and produced by Larry Blackmon in 1974, CAMEO has had over 40 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot R&B, and Dance Club charts, as well as several international hits including songs like "Word Up," "Candy," and "Single Life."
In 2016, CAMEO continue to innovate, headlining in a new Las Vegas residency show, releasing a new album, and taking the world of social media and mobile apps by storm.
That unmistakably CAMEO sound can be heard in today's hip hop, rock, and pop music, including the smash hit "Uptown Funk." Tupac Shakur, Boys II Men, 8-Ball & MJG, Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, KORN and Will Smith have all done variations, recreations, or sampled CAMEO hits.
CAMEO deserves to be recognized alongside fellow black funk, rock, and pop legends George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Prince, Earth, Wind & Fire, Isaac Hayes, Donna Summer, Bill Withers, Darlene Love, The O'Jays, Gladys Knight & the Pips, and Sly & the Family Stone.
WORD UP! CAMEO should be NEXT!
"May the winds be at your back & Cameosis in your hearts."
