The Issue

I am Ra’Ka’El Vito Onacona, born Donavan Ferguson, January 11, 1990.

Indigenous educator, father, artist, survivor of foster care and systemic abuse since birth.

They retaliated when I demanded heat, a working stove, and basic dignity.

Evicted me anyway.

Fired me from my teaching job in a lie on August 27, 2025.

Left me homeless, living in my car. Police has been to my location guns to me. Hit and run reported but they closing case. Judges and Lawyers tampering and gagging orders.

When I walked into Eskenazi begging for housing help, they twisted my words and locked me in a psych ward for four days (Aug 30 – Sep 2, 2025) with no evidence, no meds, no follow-up.

All because I refused to stay silent.

Now I’m fighting back in federal court (1:25-cv-01566) for Fair Housing retaliation and in state appeal (25A-EV-01751) against a rigged eviction.

I’m not asking for pity.

I’m demanding justice and the resources to rebuild for my son and my people.

This is what America does to Indigenous lives when we speak up.
