The water for the Indigenous Families are sacred. For many years the water sources on their territories have been polluted. As a result, the water is unsafe to drink. Many Indigenous communities still use unsafe drinking water advisories which negatively influence their health.

The water that comes from drinking water advisories is unsafe and may cause skin problems when used for bathing. Thus, it is also unsafe to drink.

It is unacceptable that a country as great as Canada is not putting in enough resources to eliminate drinking water advisories for the Indigenous people across Canada. 

We are advocating for changes to end the Indigenous water crisis. The solution that we are aiming for is a million online signatures through this petition and to gain momentum to quickly create the necessary change for Indigenous families in Canada.
