Dear HUMANS,

You all might have seen the snippets of the catastrophe and destruction that the Syrian civil war is causing. Although the rebels have agreed to a ceasefire agreement and Syria has now occupied East Aleppo, the conditions of the civilians there is still terrible; more so in this chilly winter season.

We cannot sit back with folded hands and watch the show, speak a few words of pity and act like it does not matter to us! Because, it does. Nationality SHOULD NOT restrict humanity. 

PEOPLE ARE DYING! PEOPLE ARE HURTING! WE CANNOT BE OBLIVIOUS TO THE PLAIN TRUTH!

It must be added here that India has already pledged a total of $4.5 million in humanitarian aid to Syria, including an additional $2.5 million pledged in 2013 for supply of life-saving drugs, foods and other essential items. This is commendable but NOT ENOUGH. However, public donations can make the sums bigger and better as the kind of destruction to persons and properties (homes) is surmountable only if the aides are at par with the devastation.

That being said, let's start a petition to the GOVERNMENT OF INDIA to set up a SYRIAN AID FUND where we can make donations to make this war at least a tiny bit easier for our Syrian brothers and sisters. I request you to please sign this petition so that we can do whatever is in our hands
