American Suburban Utilities proposed rate hike of 69% to the current sewer rate is unjustifiable.  No figures have been provided showing need for such a jump in sewer rates. A typical home currently paying approximately $65 per month will now have to pay upwards of $100 per month.  Many homeowners are financially stressed by the impact of COVID and this proposed rate hike will only add to their financial burden.  We are calling on the URC to hold a hearing for public input, discourse and a fair and equitable resolution
