There has been a new mandate introduced to the citizens of Indiana requiring all to wear masks in any public place due to the COVID-19 virus. This has struck a nerve with those of us who value the liberty that the founders of this country fought to protect. 

Throughout history, higher authorities/governments have dictated the actions of "should be" sovereign individuals. Did we not learn from King George III? Did we not learn from Vladimir Lenin? Did we not learn from Lenin's successor, Joseph Stalin? What about Mao Zedong? Certainly, you could look at Germany under the rule of the "National Socialist German Workers' Party" and find no respect for personal liberties. One could reflect on the rule of those mentioned, and find the initial claim validated. Those in power, tend to encroach on the liberties of those they are in power of. 

This is why I believe the recent introduction of the Indiana State mask mandate, is an absolute violation of our personal freedom. 

The Indiana State Government has taken a step to put their hands in our personal lives, without our consent. 

This mandate WAS backed up with a penalty of a Class B Misdemeanor. That is nothing more than reinforcing tyranny with the barrel of a gun, if you refuse to comply. Not only was this originally reinforced by legal penalty, it was not drafted and passed through the proper channels. 

Gov. Eric Holcomb should be ashamed, turning his back on the principles of this great nation's founding. 

Remove this mandate. Take no more of our freedoms. Not one more inch.
