Friends, Thank you to everyone who emailed or called the Elkhart County GOP to express our concerns about Vicki Becker's handling of Keith Cooper's petition for a new trial. What had been Curtis Hill's responsibility is now her responsibility, and so we have a reason to pressure her to drop her office's opposition to Cooper's case moving forward. When will Elkhart County finally decide to stand on the side of justice. Within the county is a large Mennonite college, Goshen College, and Mennonites have been known for their commitment to social justice. Residents of Elkhart County are represented by their county prosecutor's office. May we ask them to stand on the side of justice for Keith Cooper? As we have done before, so we need to do again. When Curtis Hill was DA of Elkhart County, we called and emailed his office, calling upon him to support Cooper's exoneration. Now, let's do the same again as Vicki Becker takes charge.
