Friends,
Thank you for contacting the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office, now under the supervision of Vicki Becker, who has not missed a beat in continuing the office's opposition to Keith Cooper's exoneration. You can find their contact information in the previous petition update.
The press in Indiana has not forgotten about Keith Cooper. Today's Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette has a lead editorial still calling upon Pence to do the right thing. (The title may be misleading; there hasn't yet been a pardon for Cooper.) You will find that editorial linked in the image with this update.
The South Bend Tribune has also had a recent editorial, calling on governor-elect Eric Holcomb to start quickly on his promise to meet with Keith Cooper and to pardon him soon after his inauguration: http://www.southbendtribune.com/news/opinion/our_opinion/our-opinion-indiana-s-new-governor-should-act-swiftly-on/article_af067241-ce4c-536d-941d-6c2822eea947.html.
Please continue to share this petition, to contact the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office, and to sign the new petition I've posted to call on the Congressional Black Caucus to hold Pence to account for his inaction. I would like to fax signatures on that petition to the CBC on Wednesday or Thursday this week, and I hope to have a call day on Thursday to the CBC. See the other petition for details, and thank you for your help. https://www.change.org/p/congressional-black-caucus-call-on-mike-pence-to-pardon-keith-cooper
