Friends,
Today the petition will cross 100,000 signatures. We are only 3600 away from that milestone as I am writing this.
Indiana State Representative David Ober wrote a letter to Governor Pence last week calling upon Pence to pardon Keith Cooper. He did this after one of his constituents wrote a letter to the Fort Wayne newspaper and sent Ober a letter as well. If you are an Indiana resident, please contact your state representative and senator, asking them to do the same as Ober has done. You may find your representatives at this site: http://iga.in.gov/. You may also want to write letters to the editor of your local newspapers.
Anyone may call the office of the governor. They may be getting tired of hearing from us, but their tiredness is our productive pressure. Keep calling. Tell them you know that they have been hearing from others about the pardon, and ask what is currently being done to get the pardon signed. Point out that the petition has 100,000 supporters. The phone number is 317-232-4567.
Yesterday, I suggested posting links to the petition and news reports about Keith Cooper on Mike Pence's Facebook page. He actually has two pages, so why not use both: https://www.facebook.com/GovernorMikePence/ and https://www.facebook.com/mikepence/. But here's another new idea: Post the same links on Tim Kaine's page. It's https://www.facebook.com/timkaine/.
With 100,000 signatures, even one-third of you sharing the petition and posting links on those pages will make a difference.
Have a great week, and thank you for supporting the petition!
