Stop the Indiana Department of Natural Resources From Euthanizing Raccoons, Opossums, and Coyotes.
The Indiana DNR is planning widespread extermination of Indiana wildlife.
Thousands of raccoons, opossums, and coyotes will be killed in the Fall of 2018 reportedly by gassing them in groups under the guise of euthanasia. State law will direct animal control workers to destroy the animals; they will no longer be permitted to relocate and release them.
Animal rehabilitators feel these actions will not only decimate the wildlife populations but they are inhumane and cruel. There is little scientific research or evidence by the DNR to support the euthanasia of thousands of innocent animals. The Indiana DNR has become a rogue operation that answers to no one.
Sign this Petition and require the DNR to seek outside scientific counsel or advice for better solutions.
