Make the Jungle Trail Safe - Update #5

Just a quick update to let you know that I attended the board meeting for Bike Walk Indian River County (BWIRC) this past week. I briefed the board on the current status of the proposal to Make the Jungle Trail Safe! The board of BWIRC, particularly Hugh and Laura Aaron, have been very helpful with their advice and in helping to navigate the proposal through the proper channels. I would like to offer many thanks for BWIRC support. Also invited to the meeting was IRC Historian Ruth Stanbridge who voiced several concerns with the proposal. In order to make sure that these issues are addressed before presenting to the Board of County Commissioners, we have decided to postpone the BCC presentation planned for Tuesday June 6. We are working on an idea for an alternate venue in early fall and will be sure to let you know as soon as possible.
