The current railway system allows booking in advance for 120 days prior to the journey. The busiest route, e.g. Bihar, UP it gets all ticket booked with hours or days.

My petition is for Indian Railways to curtail (shorten) the booking period from 120 days to at most 60 days as it is very tough to plan a journey well in that advance. And people left with no choice to fight for tatkal tickets which is just like giving IIM exams (few wins most loses).Unlike Govt. people common people don't have quota for confirm booking in short notice.

Will request the Govt. Either curtail or provide enough trains so that ticket gets available for at least One month.
