*Railways have started using Natural Leather based covers in Seats and Berths of passenger coaches. Gradually they will make it a standard and Seats and Berths in all types of coaches will be of this Natural Leather material.*
*This is a serious matter for all, not only Jains, Hindus, Indians but all those all over the world those who love living beings and against their killing.*
*This type of upholstery is being manufactured by a British company "E Leather" and this is the only company in the world making this type of Natural Leather based upholstery material.*
*The Fire safe upholstery meeting all norms presently being used by Indian Railways is of ₹125.00 per meter and this natural leather based material is costing approx ₹3600.00 per meter. Although this is tax payers money which is spent by government, but here the matter is not the cost. It is the natural leather which is a matter of serious concern.* *Imagine you board a train and Seats and Berths are of Natural Leather, will you be able to travel on them?*
*I call upon all the organisations against killing of animals to unite and immediately take up this matter with Bharat Sarkar (Ministry of Railways) to stop it and wherever they have already used should be immediately replaced with Non-Leather materials.* *Where ever this is already used, traveling public should know that the Seat or BERTH they are traveling on, is made of Natural Leather material.*
