I write to you from Toronto, the city where my son was shot dead. I had always imagined coming here for a holiday and seeing all the places that he had described to me so vividly. But the circumstances that brought me here have made my trip a living nightmare. Share my petition to help me get justice for my son, Kartik.

Kartik was shot dead by a random stranger on the 7th of April. My life has only been a struggle since then. But your support reminds me that I am not alone. When you signed my petition, you ensured that I made it this far. If you get more people to sign the petition, you will help me get answers to why my son was killed.

Your support gave me the strength to travel all the way to Toronto to bring back my son’s possessions. I felt confident in requesting the Indian Consulate in Toronto to provide me with accommodation, and not only did they offer me that, but they also covered my local travel and meals. And I'm so grateful to them for this.

If you help me out this time, I will know that the nation supports me in demanding justice for my son’s murder.

I had taken a big bank loan and mortgaged my house to send my son to study in Canada. But since my son died of an unnatural cause, I now want that loan to be waived off. If each one of you gets only 1 more person to sign my petition, then I will be able to show the bank that over 1 lakh Indians want my family to be free from this huge financial burden.
