In most patriarchal societies, all emphasis is made on capturing the details of the father/husband for women on various forms. It's mostly a mandate requiring the father's name (if unmarried) and the husband's name (if married). What if a man wanted to be known by his wife's name? What if instead of son of Xyz, he wants to be identified as 'Husband of Abc'? There are hardly any forms which capture this information.

We should make it easier for folks to go with whoever they wish to be identified by and not impose patriarchy. Son/daughter of can also be put with the mother's name instead of just the father's name. 

My request is to make the change to ensure forms allow people to be identified by any relation they are comfortable with and especially make the change for men to be known as Husband of. Make the change in the forms to read Son/daughter/wife/husband of wherever possible.
