Video games are no longer just entertainment for young people — they are now a part of India’s culture. In many Indian homes, gaming is something the entire family enjoys watching or playing together, just like movies.

For years, Hollywood films have been dubbed in Hindi so that every generation can enjoy them, including parents and grandparents who prefer watching in their own language. Because of this, millions of Indians grew up experiencing global stories through Hindi voice-over, making those moments memorable and emotionally connected.

But when it comes to video games — one of the biggest entertainment industries in the world — we are left behind. Most modern AAA games still do not offer Hindi voice-over, even though India has one of the fastest-growing gaming communities on the planet.

This affects more than just young gamers.

Our older generation, who already enjoy watching Hollywood movies in Hindi, would also love to experience video game stories in the same familiar way. Many parents are curious about the games their children play, but without Hindi dubbing, the story becomes difficult for them to understand. A Hindi voice-over would make gaming family-friendly, accessible, and inclusive for millions.

India is not asking for special treatment — only equal representation.

Countries with smaller gaming populations already have voice-overs in their languages. India, with over a billion people and millions of gamers, deserves the same opportunity.

With enough signatures — even one million — gaming companies will see clearly that the demand is real and impossible to ignore. This petition is our united voice asking all developers, across every platform — PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo — to add Hindi voice-over localization to their future games.

It’s time for global games to finally speak our language.
