As an Indian citizen deeply concerned about the current state of our democracy, I cannot remain silent while our nation is led by individuals with questionable reputations, criminal allegations, and a complete disregard for the foundational pillars of a democratic society. The leading political party is rampant with individuals accused of heinous crimes, including mafia activities and acts of sexual violence. Disturbingly, these individuals continue to wield power without facing appropriate legal trials to validate their innocence or determine their guilt.

Moreover, those brave enough to oppose or raise their voices against the government often face severe repercussions. Many are unjustly jailed or, even worse, mysteriously disappear, silenced forever. There is an alarming trend of suppression on social media too, where critical posts are taken down without consent, merely because they are deemed unfavorable by the government. The political opposition is consistently stifled, with their microphones turned off if they dare to question the ruling party's actions.

This is not the democracy we were promised, and it's not one I am willing to accept. Our leaders must be held accountable. They should not be allowed to occupy their roles if they have not cleared their names through fair judicial processes. Granting immunity to such individuals is a grave injustice not only to those affected by their actions but to every law-abiding citizen of India.

It is imperative that we assert the principle of justice by ensuring no individual in power is immune from the law. Those accused must face unbiased and transparent trials, and only those proven innocent should be allowed to hold public office.
