India deserves the truth about the Pahalgam attack

India deserves the truth about the Pahalgam attack
The Issue
On a quiet day in Pahalgam, which roughly lies 200 kilometers inside the Line of Control, the de facto border between India and Pakistan in Kashmir, 26 innocent Indians were massacred in a brutal terror attack.
But silence isn’t justice.
It isn’t safety.
And it certainly isn’t accountability.
As citizens of India, we believe one simple truth: in a democracy, the government must answer to the people—especially when our safety, security, and dignity are on the line.
We ask these five urgent and unanswered questions on behalf of every Indian:
- Security Breach: We’re told our borders are secure—then how did four armed terrorists cross over and enter and execute such a brutal attack undetected?
- Intelligence Failure: If it was an intelligence failure, why was the Intelligence Bureau Chief given an extension instead of being held accountable?
- Government’s Silence on the Status of Terrorists: Where Are the Terrorists? Even today, we don’t know if the terrorists are alive or dead. The government hasn’t given a single concrete update.
- Foreign Pressure on Ceasefire: Worse still, reports suggest that India agreed to a ceasefire under foreign pressure, while Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir remains untouched. Who decides our national security strategy—Delhi or Washington?
- Global Rewards for a State Sponsor of Terror: And despite its terror links, Pakistan received billions in international aid and a position in the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee right after the attack. How is this even possible?
The public has the right to know: What has been achieved? Where is the transparency?
This isn’t about politics.
This is about the dignity of those we lost—and the right of 140 crore Indians to demand answers.
We, the people, deserve answers. Sign this petition to demand truth, accountability, and justice for Pahalgam.
