If Nigerians in diaspora could remit as much as $25billion to Nigeria in 2018 and $17.5billion in 2019 then nothing, I mean absolutely nothing should stop us from taking part in the electoral processes that govern the country as it simply shows that we have a strong relationship and relations to the country. Pls take note that the above quoted amount is what was officially sent to Nigeria via registered courier agencies like moneygram, western union, Ria, ittransfer, Rewire, Wave, Ace and so on. Money taken cash down to Nigeria was not included and that was obviously much more as it required not extra charges and the exchange rate in nigeria is more higher that what we get via money courier service. If we could use our Nigeria bank accounts to transfer money from across the world using token/tan then we can do it. We have BVN, we have Nigerian passport and our passport nrs should be enough to confirm us as citizens. We are the giant of Africa and we must lay examples for other African countries to follow. If Togo, Benin Republic , South Africa could do it, Nigeria could do it too. We cant do the same thing the same way and expect a different result.
