Increase Weekend and Daily Train Service in Hackettstown, NJ

The Issue

As a frequent traveler for work, I find the train schedule in Hackettstown, NJ to be extremely limited. This lack of reliable public transportation makes it challenging for me and many others who depend on public transit. Our town deserves better.

Hackettstown is home to over 10,000 residents (US Census Bureau) and growing, many of whom rely on public transportation for their daily commute. However, the current train service does not meet our needs. The limited schedule restricts our ability to travel freely and impacts our quality of life.

Increasing weekend and daily train service would greatly benefit the community by providing more flexibility for commuters like myself, students attending Centenary University located in town, seniors who rely on public transportation for essential trips, as well as tourists visiting our beautiful historic sites.

We urge New Jersey Transit to review its current scheduling policies and consider increasing the frequency of trains serving Hackettstown. By doing so, they can help improve mobility within our community while also reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions.

Please sign this petition if you believe that Hackettstown deserves a more robust and dependable train service.
